The SMC Alpha perspective

Less noise.
More market understanding.

A framework for asking better questions before taking a trade. Context comes before confirmation.

01 / CONTEXT

See the bigger picture

Identify trend, key swing levels and the range. Understand where price is trading before deciding what to watch.

Market structure
02 / CONFIRMATION

Wait for the story to unfold

Study liquidity sweeps, BOS and CHoCH. Watch the reaction around an order block rather than chasing every move.

Liquidity & price action
03 / DISCIPLINE

Define risk before reward

Know where a setup becomes invalid. Set a loss limit and accept that no setup guarantees an outcome.

Capital protection
A top-down framework

One clear process.
Three perspectives.

Move from the bigger picture to the details, with a reason for every decision.

15MIN

Establish the context

Map structure, previous highs and lows, and areas of liquidity. Form a conditional bias.

05MIN

Locate the setup

Observe a sweep, a structure shift and a potential retest zone. Wait for price to reach your area.

01MIN

Assess confirmation & risk

Look for a clear reaction. Define invalidation, position size and an exit plan before considering execution.

OUR POSITION-SIZING APPROACH

One lot.
A clear limit on size.

SMC Alpha Trading demonstrates trades using one lot only, with a defined entry, stop-loss and exit plan.

01

LOT PER TRADE

Keep position size consistent. Assess the rupee risk before every entry.

One lot limits exposure compared with multiple lots of the same contract. Risk still depends on lot size, premium, stop distance and execution. Profits are not guaranteed.
THE TRADE JOURNAL

Trading records.
With the context included.

Owner-submitted app and indicator screenshots, clearly labelled by source. This selected sample is not a complete performance history or an overall success rate.

Trade screenshots coming soon

The journal will display submitted trading records here.

ONE-LOT TRADE JOURNAL

Screenshots are owner-submitted and not independently audited. Indicator results are distinct from executed broker trades. These screenshots alone do not establish one-lot quantity, net returns after charges or an overall win rate. Individual results do not predict future returns.

Build your foundation

Understand the language of price.

Open a concept to explore the basics.

What is a liquidity sweep?

Price briefly moves beyond a visible high or low, then returns. This can indicate rejected prices, but a sweep alone does not confirm a reversal.

BOS vs. CHoCH — what's the difference?

A break of structure (BOS) is commonly used to describe continuation through a relevant swing. A change of character (CHoCH) describes a break against the prevailing structure that may signal a shift. Definitions vary; use consistent swing rules.

What is an order block?

A candle or price area preceding a strong displacement, used as a potential reaction zone. It is an interpretation of price action, not proof of institutional orders or a guaranteed entry.

Why does risk management come first?

Even a well-defined setup can fail. A predetermined stop, appropriate position size and a daily loss limit help keep one losing trade from becoming an uncontrolled loss.
